Uncover the Legacy of Pike County, Arkansas
The Pike County Archives and History Society was founded in 1986 and is a 501 C3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization. The organization is dedicated to collecting and preserving materials which brings together the unique history of Pike County, Arkansas and its people. One of the objectives of PCAHS is to promote interest in the history of Pike County and the State of Arkansas. The PCAHS also works with children and young adults in conjunction with the area schools to teach the proper use of a research facility. The archives house over 500 old Pike County record books, dating from 1895, including early tax records, maps, etc. The collection of materials also includes family histories, census records, micro-film, publications and other material for historical and genealogical research. There is no charge for the use of these materials or for using the research facilities in Murfreesboro. Donations of money and/or research material are always welcome.
